Mango is set up to make it easy to interact with your customers and contacts in the most seamless way(s) possible.
For this reason, we felt it useful to let the system automatically notify contacts when you add them to your account.
We feel this makes it easier for your customers to access the information they need to log into accounts created by the system.
Once customers are aware of their access to their own customer portals, they will be able to submit support tickets, pay invoices, receive documents, etc.
That being said, we understand that there are times when you are simply uploading leads to your account and you have no intention to notify your leads that you have added them as a contact.
If this is your situation, there are two ways to mute these automatic email notifications:
When adding a single contact
1. Log into your Mango account
2. Click on the "Add new contacts " button
3. Fill in ( at the very least) the contacts first and last name as well as username and password, along with their email address.
4. Uncheck both email transmission options. You will be able to turn these back on later.
5. Click save
Adding bulk contacts
1. Log into your Mango account
2. Click on the "Contacts" menu link to go to your contacts page then click on " Import contacts" button
3. Download the bulk import template and fill in the required fields. Be sure to locate the header for "Does customer accept email marketing and notifications? Use 1 for yes and 0 for no"
4. Upload the file to your contacts
